Simon Wright - President and CEO

Simon has enjoyed an outstanding career spanning more than a quarter of a century in the footwear industry, with hands-on experience at every level of it. Following a classical training in the industry in England he has since worked globally in the fields of fashion, formal and athletic footwear. His most recent achievements have been the establishment of a high-level Development Centre in South Korea; the implementation of modern CAD and Rapid Prototyping technologies in Asia; the building of technical products for Nike and adidas; and the sourcing and progression of localised materials and component infrastructures in newly developing countries. His focus has been the creation of conditions that will encourage factories to speed up the process of getting shoes to the market place.

In mid-2004 his vision became a reality with the establishment of a company geared towards the development of performance footwear and the servicing of those small to medium sized Brands lacking some of the resources that previously have been the prerogative of only the largest companies. He recognised a real need for a stronger link between customers and factories. With areas of expertise in all aspects of the industry, and teamed with this visionary approach, TLD Asia Pacific can provide to its customers the facilities and resources that formerly were available only to the major players in the industry.

Within the company Simon's role is to:

• share his immense technical expertise and understanding with our clients;
• set direction and offer personal guidance to the members of our Product Creation team;
• work closely with the factories to ensure their competitiveness in all areas;
• maintain cutting edge innovation in every aspect of footwear development.

Eun-Sun Cho – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

As one of the co-founders of TLD, Eun-Sun fulfilled a crucial role in the early stages of building this business by establishing sound financial processes, initiating administrative controls and researching legal requirements. Her fine eye for detail scrutinised all the important, but easily neglected, areas of our business to ensure that the foundations were firm from the outset

She has a strong background in Textiles, and particularly in the insights and disciplines of the design process. Her creative flair continues to make a positive contribution in every aspect of the life of our organisation. She has been the driving force in the growth of our footwear materials department.

Henry Liao – Product Creation Director

Henry is able to draw upon more than sixteen years of experience in the shoe industry working with Reebok, adidas and Nike, predominantly in the areas of shoe technology and quality control. For seven years he was based in Indonesia, providing him with a comprehensive and global view of the shoe industry, and giving to him a decided advantage over many of his counterparts.

His past involvement in all aspects of shoe technology, and the development and commercialisation processes, equip him to provide a positive input both to our clients and to the factories.

Staff at TLD

In addition to the senior management team, we employ a staff of over thirty multi-lingual and technically experienced staff. Each team member has a proven track record of achievement within the footwear industry, and each is established within their own particular area of expertise. We continue to see outstanding achievements from our staff and encourage the ongoing training that will assist each to attain their personal goal: goals which are directed by the needs and concerns of our customers.
