At TLD we strive to provide our customers with the ultimate service and our self-contained Footwear Design department is yet another of the incremental stages that closes the whole loop. Typically, most liaison offices rely only on design input from the customer but we’ve taken this to a whole new level by being able to offer you this service in addition to the full suite of technical and developmental skills available.
Being able to design and get technical input simultaneously reduces the amount of wasted time and resources spent on this stage and ensures that the customer is not shown anything which later will not be able to be produced cost-effectively and avoiding those disappointments that inevitably occur when that happens.

OUR FOOTWEAR DESIGNERS

The Footwear Design department at TLD is currently being run under the guidance of its President. He is well supported by an experienced team of specialist footwear designers and is looking to grow this area of the business significantly in both scope and abilities.

These young and talented designers are well equipped and trained to take a market brief from a customer and to present complete ranges of shoe designs if required or just simply to produce more iterations of a theme that your own designer wants to expound on but is limited through his own time limitations. They have the experience to contribute suggestions to existing design concepts or to follow directions from customers and are constantly seeking out new and exciting ideas to expand upon. We actively encourage our designers and technicians to visit specific exhibitions to get inspiration and promote their lateral and forward thinking abilities. The melding together of the Footwear Design team with the Material team is one that will be expanded on going forward to benefit from the strengths and synergies that can be obtained through this coupling.

LINKED SYSTEMS

The way that we are set up with all our 2D, 3D, upper pattern engineering, grading and costing software and now with 3D last design and 3D upper design included we have the whole line of processes which are seamlessly linked through from Footwear Design to Footwear Production . With full interaction of technicians at all critical stages of the process it is our speciality and using our fully integrated systems we can ensure that the initial design is created taking into account the production requirements and end user needs and expectations. The result is a quicker sample turn around and improved accuracy of conformity to shoe design. Which leads to product getting to market in the shortest time possible.
