Product quality control and assurance

A full Production control and quality assurance service can be specifically tailored to meet the individual requirements of all our customers and is available to include in the full service offering or simply for carrying out final inspections only. It is difficult for us to accept responsibility for a project that we haven't been in control of since the start and not knowing the history means there is a big piece of learning curve that's missing. For this reason conducting on-line inspections is not really recommended. The full service would include:

• Production Managers that are available for on-line production control of all footwear and the processes determined through the Footwear Commercialisation stages
• Monitoring of footwear production dates to achieve the required ex-factory shipping date by a team of experienced schedulers
• A constant presence of Quality Control inspectors on the production lines and preventing low quality shoes from even being put in a box
• The quality control of finished shoe product and issue of final inspection certificates before shipping is specifically tailored to meet the needs of each customer
• Confirmation of all colour swatches for production materials and communication with customer for borderline cases where commercial decisions often need to be made
• Constant interaction with the factory at all management levels to get the customer and the Brand to feature high in their minds
• The establishment of footwear production manuals and process controls, the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for each model but also for some of the most standardized processes, like back-part shoe moulding
• Keeping an eye out to make sure that the factory is keeping honest to their Code of Conduct in the conditions within the premises
• The full back-up services of the rest of the TLD organisation that can jump in and help in the odd case where necessary
